I saw these candies at Sams Club and bought them specifically so I can “cutesiefy” them! I love Halloween so much and I am always up for fun Halloween crafting!

Let’s get started!

Supplies:

I found this cute svg cut file from Etsy for test tubes.

I am using a die-cutting machine to cut the file. It came with instructions and the score lines, but it was faster for me to score it by hand.

The first step is to cut all the pieces you need. There are only 7 pieces in 2 color cardstocks.

I measured the height of the tube to figure out what size to make the file.

(Please note that sizing will vary depending on the size of the test tubes you use.) The height of my test tube was 5.5 inches and the longest cut piece was 8 inches.

Score the fold lines

I am using Scor-tape because this adhesive is super strong. Cardstock Warehouse carries it in 3 sizes. I am using the ⅛ and ½ inch tapes.

The first step is to adhere the Sirio Lime long piece onto the Grape Jelly layer.

Next, tape the tiny flaps. I am using the ⅛ inch Scor-tape. Adhere the Grape Jelly piece with the circle facing up which creates a little box. This is where the test tube will slide in.

Once the Grape Jelly piece is attached, the lime green layering pieces adhere on top.

I used a thin ribbon to tie the candy in place. Sandwich the ribbon in between both green layers. I used a lot of Scor-tape to be sure it stays in place.

The last part is to add a design on the front of the box. I had fun using stickers to decorate the front square panel. You could also use Halloween die cuts. If you bought empty test tubes and filled them yourself, you can use a circle punch to create the to/from tags.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you enjoyed this fun project.

Happy Halloween Crafting!
